As a childminder, I recognise that I must build a trusting partnership between myself and the child’s parents.
I use an online account with Tapestry, where you can keep up to date with the latest policies, accident forms, and updates on your children.
I aim to achieve a strong working partnership with parents by:
Always make time to discuss parent' concerns about their children via a telephone conversation, email, text message, etc…
Informing parents about their children’s activities throughout the day either by message or on Tapestry or my website where you will find upcoming plans.
Allowing parents access to records kept on their own children.
I have a Facebook page ‘Ally Childminder Fawkes’ for parents who would like to communicate via social networking I have registered with the information commissioner’s office and handle all data accordingly.
Parents are requested to keep me informed of any changes to personal circumstances that may affect their children e.g. change of address, phone numbers, doctor, emergency contact.
Parents are also requested to keep me informed of any circumstances that may affect their children emotionally e.g. bereavement, separation, or illness in the family.
Parents will be made aware that all information they provide about their children is kept confidential and treated on a strict need-to-know basis. (see confidentiality policy)
