**Ask me about Funded hours
In light of the bad weather in recent years, I have decided to draw up a policy in the event of any extreme weather conditions to highlight my plans should this occur in our area:
If I deem it unsafe to drive then I will not be driving.
If this happens then we will be walking all school runs. Therefore I will be requesting all children come suitably dressed and wearing wellies, hats, etc.
If I do not feel it safe to drive I will not be offering a pickup or drop-off service from nurseries/play schools.
However, I am happy to care for your child/ren during the hours they would normally attend the setting.
Outings will remain limited during periods of bad weather however I will make sure that there are plenty of indoor activities available and will take advantage of any safe opportunities to play outside in the snow.
If schools remain open then I am happy to collect/drop off however if I deem it too unsafe to drive or walk the journey or detrimental to other children in my care, then I will be asking you to make other arrangements for collection/drop off for your child/ren.
If I make the decision to not collect or drop off then you will not be charged.
If schools are closed or you are unable to get to work and you do not require childcare you will be charged full fee.
If schools are closed and you require childcare for the full day, (if available) fees will be at your usual hourly rate + 1 hour.
If you drop your school age child off in the morning and their school then closes and you require me to collect (if available) you will be charged your usual hourly rate, plus 1 hour until you can collect them.
If you are running late to pick up due to bad weather you will not be charged late fees, however, your usual hourly rate will apply if pick-up is delayed by 30 or more minutes. Charging for 30 minute periods.Â
